Why Work

I believe a work is an expression of life. 

As long as we need to live a life, we need to figure out what to do. because we cannot afford the life without work. Work is a kind of resource or expression for an individual to be the one who really is. Work gives the expressional opportunity for an individual about what kind of activity does one love, what kind of value one wants share and contribute for, what kind of people one wants to be surrounded, what kind of journey one would like to have and to struggle with, How much one's time wants to compensate by the rewards as trading for one's time and life. Yes, We do share our work, reward with our time, and the time is our life. When our given time for this life goes all up, we ends up our life with death. so It is all about how would we decide to consume our time for something. Work is one of consideration for our time how we would like to trade off for something.

So, the reason why I do work is an expressional way of a human being who has a potential for releasing impact for this world, also the way of what kind of people would I like to be with and belonging, and how would I like to be shaped by time, It is a destination for consuming my time on trading-off.

I want to use my time for a work that contributes the best values as a human kind, Love, and Freedom. I know Love and Freedom both are very subjective and abstractive terms. but we also know obviously what is Love and Freedom by our instinct. Their presences are so powerful to acknowledge, so they we already know by our chest, by our heart, and soul.

 

I do work for Love and Freedom. 

If a task is related with those two values, I do the work, or If any decisions are deeply related with those two concepts, I do make a move. That is why I do so passionate about action of love. I believe Love is not only limited within 'Work' as a job but, all the actions that I can call as a work('I work for love'), I do that one throughout my days. If It seems, asking for help or forgiveness are the way of 'Love', I try to do that as brave as possible. Even when being brave can be considered as action of love, I bear the action to do 'Love'. Those my philosophy of Love has influenced by Buddha's compassionate heart, and Jesus Christ's Love as well. I do keep reminding those related quotes when I consider my action would be a love or not. That has been mostly happened by asking myself, 'Is my action based on my Love? or Desire?', 'Would my this willingness based on Love? or what?'. I have my own inner assessment system, the inner-voice, so I do ask a lot when I need to decide in action.

Permaculture has been the one of thing that expression of love in me, as long as the definition and goal is for 'Build a safe place for all being in this planet', which is considered a huge level of love, almost top level. That's why I've been living in that field, and travel around to attain those skills and experiences. Also a reason why I pick my camera for those people who work with permaculture, that is nurturing nature for all beings in world. As high as I raise their popularity with my capturing, they can be more spotlighted, so then they can get more attentions, then the more resources they can get, so the more people can would like to follow or to mimic their life, then the more wholesome circles would happen over all this world.

 

Freedom

Freedom, Yes also one another value I work for. I believe Freedom is able to be broke down in two kinds of freedom. First is a financial freedom, that I can go whenever I desire to travel, and wherever. Second is a freedom from emotional authorization over my own. I had the inherited emotional tendency which had a one of bitter aspect in my personality. I wanted to make it away from my life, as much as I do only give and offer the love over world. Especially for those people I love and want to live with. Many bitter experiences made me wanting to have that liberation or power to control over my emotion itself. then It led me to work for Wellness Business, a temple, or worked for a vipassana meditational center as a manager.

I've been looking forward to having the ability to earn better for the financial freedom as well. I found Problem Solving Capacity can attain the financial freedom. because the more I can solve the scale of problems in this world, I can be rewarded by that. The more problems I solve, The more rewards would return. A financial reward actually comes from people's wallet, and their willingness. It means, the more I can satisfy other's struggling for their resolution, they can open their wallet. It has been pretty obvious throughout my twenties. When I satisfy businessmen, they wanted me put into some better position or allowing me to having more opportunities, in office, and Bali as a marketer. I've learned that fact problem solving can be the way of earning rich, by many successful rich man's articles during my Bali staying. One of impressive resource was <Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill>. 

Investment, also can be one of resource for gaining financial freedom I believe. The more I do know about investment, Well-Problem Solving Businesses, I can earn the margin much better by supporting the business with my asset.

So they're pretty interconnected between Problem-Solving Skill, Computer Skillset and Investment. That is also the reason why I applied for the Computer Science Faculty too. A computer is a great tool that is so much intensified human's intelligence for solving a problem. A computer can solve any problems by the super faster logical operations than human being in some way. so then it can resolve many problems in world, so that can return huge margin, then eventually the financial freedom. That is why many tech companies they earn a lot, and so USA government focuses on having the superiority on Tech.

In conclusion, I can say my 'Work' is a way of achieving what I truly believe mostly important in this world. Those two top values of world are Love and Freedom, can be achieved by two. and the work would shape my journey of life to achieve those two values I believe mostly important, so that I do those works as mentioned above.

 

 

How does it relate to the individual, others, society? 

to the Individual, it can be a way of self-actualization, throughout one’s work, one can achieve his/her goal of life. and the others can benefit from it unless the individual does harm the others.(but what is harmness in world? there would be always opposite side of the harmness who would like to work against of it under a name of justice or goodness. So a harmness is a creator of justice or a goodness. then, Does a harmness actually harm?).

One’s work-Problem Solving from world-can actually help other, so the others and society can get the benefit from the individual. The more and many individuals work for the problem solving, I believe human kinds move into somewhere through history and advancement(but Do we actually get more advancement? what is an advancement means for human-kinds? the more we create advancements, the more problems also has been happened. then what is that?)

 

What defines good or worthwhile work?

It is not easy to define a good job. maybe in simple term, when a person’s efforts solve someone’s life problem, we can call it that is good job. but the job also has to benefit whole human kind in some way. If a work can just benefit human, but devastate a planet, I don’t think that is a good job in broad concept. the job must be okay for our home, this planet too. because we are just a part of this planet, we entangled with this eco-system, so we do live this life within all connected circumstances. but when we don’t care about this connections among us, It can destroys the benefits or the true meaning of work. Work must be satisfy people’s problem. but If a job or a work only satisfy that person’s individual problem only, I’m not sure that would be enough to call ‘worthwhile’ work.

Deeper and broader benefit a work can impact, I can call that is worthwhile work.

 

What does money have to do with it?

Money seems an asset that we can do whatever we want. It's not a necessity, but encouraging global love and happiness would be ideal. but I feel a bit confused about that with Dualism. When a destruction and sadness, can also become the part of love and happiness. because the counter concepts create the terms of sweet love and happiness. so I do just believe whatever it would go, that would just happen. Personally, I appreciate when individuals use money to help maintain the natural balance of the world. When they need a help for survive, we can create any system that can foundationally start to establish the essential and necessary taught for people.

It would be great if someone uses his/her money for caring others and foster the love and happiness.
